“Yeah, I know what a virtual assistant does! They…provide virtual assistance. Duh.”
If only it were that easy. I mean, virtual assistants do provide assistance via the interwebs but there’s kind of a lot more to it.
Not every virtual assistant is right for you. That’s because a VA can provide different services or have one area of expertise.
If you want a virtual assistant that can provide customer support, order fulfillment, and shopify store creation, you might want to search for an ecommerce virtual assistant…not someone that dabbles in content marketing or social media.
I like to think of virtual assistants as the secret to any business owner’s success. VAs can save you money, time, and be overall helpful with the skills they provide to your business.
You might consider hiring an employee instead. But hiring someone that has their own business is the best choice in my opinion.
When you hire a virtual assistant, you typically work with people that know what it’s like to be a business owner. The ideal virtual assistant will treat your business with the respect and professionalism it deserves.
You’re probably looking for someone to stick around for the long term, provide reliable, quality help and really change your life by allowing you to focus on what you love.
If you’ve been in business long enough, you’ve probably discovered that there are some tasks that you’d rather not be doing or you aren’t amazing with the online space because you simply lack time.
Businesses have tons of moving parts that make up the whole picture. Whether you’re an online business owner or you’re mostly offline, when it’s time to scale, you know you need to hire extra help.
Now, I’m not sure how other people view virtual assistance. Some may only being doing it to get a few bucks. Others might enjoy the work but don’t really want to stick around for too long.
But I really enjoy developing long term working relationships with my clients. I see a virtual assistant as someone that can help a business grow. I see a virtual assistant as someone that’s passionate about what they do and loves to help others reach their goal. At least, that’s what makes me happy as a VA.
Don’t worry, I didn’t forget! I will leave some tasks below to give you an example of ways a virtual assistant can help grow your business.
